Carlson Software has released Precision 3D Hydro 2018. This innovative software is an easy-to-use design application for land development. It provides tools for precise engineering in 3D for managing water on all types of locations.
Managing storm pipe networks, cluvert sizing, and simulating potential flooding areas for an area can be accomplished with this powerful software. New to Precision 3D Hydro is Dynamic CAD automated plan and profile CAD design documentation. You are able to numerous calculations such as gutter speed in real-time.
Environmental assessments of large basin areas using point clouds and lidar to create TINs. You are able to calculate weighted curve numbers and coeffecients for pre and post construction calculations by drag and drop textures. There is also improved reporting options to include custom PDFs, Excel, and HTML formats.

FreeWave Technologies has announced the end-of-life (EOL) for their HTPlus series of 900MHz wireless data links. This affects the HT-P, HT-PE, HTP-900RE, and HTP-900SEO models.
The replacement product is the ZumLink 900 series radio. The ZumLink and HTPlus are not over-the-air compatible.

NovAtel has announced the end of life (EOL) for their OEM617D dual antenna GNSS heading receiver. We will be taking orders for last chance purchase until June 29 2018.
This affects all OEM617D models (OEM617D-XXX-XXX-XXX). The recommended replacement is the OEM7720 series. For more info or to place an order, please contact us.

TerraStar frequency changes are scheduled to occur within the first quarter of 2018. It is expected February 2018. This will move the L-Band beam frequencies from the current 1539 MHz to 1545 MHz and higher. This change is needed to avoid potential future conflicts with other services that will share the lower portion of the L-Band spectrum.

NovAtel announced updates to L-Band tracking functionality for OEM6 and OEM7 receivers. This affects users of the TerraStar (PPP) satellite-based correction service. There is a potential issue that could affect users if the frequency changes beyond the current frequency range (1530 – 1545 MHz). Users of the service need to make sure they are running the latest firmware to prevent potential tracking issues should the frequency range change.

The 7.03.00 firmware is now available on all OEM7 receivers. The OEM7700, OEM719 and OEM729 can be updated to the 7.03.00 firmware which supports new features like the SPAN® Land Vehicle technology, direct Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) connections and tracking of the NavIC Indian regional satellite system on the L5 frequency. Certain firmware versions on the OEMV series of GPS receivers will report an invalid GPS week date on July 22 2017. It is important to check the firmware version on your NovAtel receiver to see if you need to upgrade. The affected firmware versions are 3.300 to 3.714 and 3.810 to 3.813.

On December 31, 2016 at 23:59:59, a positive leap second will be added into the UTC time. This may affect some users of NovAtel GLONASS capable receivers. It is recommended that if you have a GLONASS model, to check your firmware version and upgrade if necessary.

NovAtel has released Waypoint version 8.70 for GrafNav/GrafNet and Inertial Explorer. This new release features support for four GNSS constellations including QZSS. It also is the first version that requires the FlexNet or software-based license. USB keys are not supported beginning with 8.70.
