Carlson Software has released version 2020 of their software packages. There are over 250 new or updated features. It is now a 64-bit installation, so you need a 64-bit computer to install. 32-bit installations are no longer available.

Carlson 2020 supports AutoCAD 2020 and includes InteliCAD 9.2. It features a settings migration wizard to port custom settings from one installation to another. See below for a full list of the improvements/updates.

NovAtel has released version 7.07.03 firmware for the OEM7 series of GNSS receivers. This firmware is for | OEM719 | OEM729 | OEM7700 | OEM7720 | OEM7500 | OEM7600 | PP7 | PP7D | CPT7 | GT7800 | receivers.

NovAtel has announced TerraStar-X for use in the mid-west. TerraStar-X boasts a 2.5 cm horizontal accuracy in about a minute. It can be used in a variety of applications such as agriculture, construction, and survey.

OEM7 firmware version 7.07.01 (OM7MR0701RN0000, EP7PR0701RN0000) is now available for NovAtel OEM GNSS receivers. It is for OEM719, OEM729, OEM7700, OEM7720, OEM7500, OEM7600, PP7, PP7D, CPT7. This release is NOT for SMART7 or SMART2.

There are improvements to marine and rail profiles, SPAN system convergence robustness, and commands/logs changes. Some of the OEM6 SPAN commands are removed in this new version, so be sure to read the documentation for upgrading.

NovAtel has introduced their latest generation smart antenna, the SMART2™. It is their entry-level all-in-one GNSS receiver and antenna featuring dual-frequency and multi-constellation tracking.

This latest generation smart antenna tracks GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, SBAS, and TerraStar-L. It has an integrated magnetic mount and a wide 7 to 30 volts power input range.

Optional Bluetooth connectivity, optional terrain compensation for uneven terrain is great for auto-steer applications. For more information and pricing details, contact us.

Novatel’s Waypoint 8.80 is now available. This new version includes Inertial Explorer, GrafNav/GrafNet, and Inertial Explorer Express. All Waypoint users with current PCS (Post Contractual Support) will be eligible for this new version.

NovAtel Inc has announced the End Of Life (EOL) for the SPAN-CPT series GNSS receiver with integrated IMU. The recommended replacement is the SPAN CPT7 series receiver.

Orders for the SPAN-CPT (OEM6) can be placed through February 28 2019 or until inventory is depleted.

Support for the SPAN-CPT (OEM6) will continue through May 31 2022.

OmniSTAR Correction Services Will Be Discontinued On AORE Satellite Beam. This affects all OmniSTAR subscription services (VBS, XP, G2, and HP) that are currently using the AORE frequency/beam. The services will continue to be available on other satellite beams.

The broadcast for AORE will stop on December 18, 2018. It is recommended that customers currently using the AORE beam to change their receiver’s settings to use the current frequency/beam for your location. A table is below that shows the available beams/frequencies.

NovAtel has announced the discontinuation of the SMART6 series of smart antennas. The SMART7 series of smart antennas will be the recommended replacement.

Smart6 will be available for purchase until May 31, 2019 (or until inventory depleted).

Repair support for the Smart6 will end on September 30, 2022.

Carlson SurvCE and SurvePC 6.0 is available. This feature rich land surveying software has several new features and improvements.

The new Hybrid+ module allows for users to survey with both GPS and total station at the same time. GIS Inspector lets users add or view GIS attributes when selecting points on the map. Surface Inspector lets you compare plan versus as-built elevation difference.
