August 1st, 2019: NovAtel OEM7 Firmware 7.07.01 Released

OEM7 firmware version 7.07.01 (OM7MR0701RN0000, EP7PR0701RN0000) is now available for NovAtel OEM GNSS receivers. It is for OEM719, OEM729, OEM7700, OEM7720, OEM7500, OEM7600, PP7, PP7D, CPT7. This release is NOT for SMART7 or SMART2.

There are improvements to marine and rail profiles, SPAN system convergence robustness, and commands/logs changes. Some of the OEM6 SPAN commands are removed in this new version, so be sure to read the documentation for upgrading.

NovAtel has introduced their latest generation smart antenna, the SMART2™. It is their entry-level all-in-one GNSS receiver and antenna featuring dual-frequency and multi-constellation tracking.

This latest generation smart antenna tracks GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, QZSS, SBAS, and TerraStar-L. It has an integrated magnetic mount and a wide 7 to 30 volts power input range.

Optional Bluetooth connectivity, optional terrain compensation for uneven terrain is great for auto-steer applications. For more information and pricing details, contact us.

March 12th, 2019: Waypoint 8.80 Released

Novatel’s Waypoint 8.80 is now available. This new version includes Inertial Explorer, GrafNav/GrafNet, and Inertial Explorer Express. All Waypoint users with current PCS (Post Contractual Support) will be eligible for this new version.

  • TerraStar-NRT option that provides high-rate precise satellite orbit and clock corrections for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, and QZSS systems. These are typically available within minutes for quicker workflow.
  • Option to choose L1/L2 or L1/L5 frequencies for solutions.
