The latest firmware for the OEMV Series of NovAtel’s GPS receivers has been released. This firmware upgrade is a free download for customers within their software update subscription period.
The new version includes NovAtel’s new GL1DE technology to produce a smooth positioning solution and an update to the OmniSTAR HP library that improves convergence. A complete list of changes is shown below.
What’s New in Version 3.40
- NovAtel’s new GL1DE technology which optimally combines L1 code and L1 phase data to produce a smooth positioning solution well-suited for applications such as agricultural guidance, where pass-to-pass repeatability is critical
- NovAtel’s proprietary CDGPS radio which enables customers to use any OEMV-1 based receiver to convert CDGPS corrections into RTCM format for import into non-CDGPS receivers
- A new OmniSTAR HP library, version 4.27, that permits faster convergence and re-convergence in both static and kinematic applications
- New CMR Type 3 GLONASS corrections which provide another option for interoperability with Leica and Topcon receivers in GPS plus GLONASS RTK operations
