May 7th, 2009: Waypoint GrafNav and Inertial Explorer 8.20

GrafNav/GrafNet™ and Inertial Explorer™ high-precision GNSS software packages have been upgraded to version 8.20.  Several improvements and features have been added in this new version such as the new Project Wizard, EGM2008 geoid is now available, and there is improved user/manufacturer files for Windows Vista operation.

A complete list of the new features are shown below.  Please note that software upgrades now require a Post Contractural Support (PCS) subscription.  See changes-for-waypoint-update-policy for more information.  You can contact SLAinc to check on your software PCS status or if you have any questions.

GrafNav/GrafNet™ and Inertial Explorer™ New Features

  • A new step-by-step Project Wizard helps with the start of a new project.  The wizard automatically detects, converts, and (if requested) downloads nearby station data.  The IMU model is automatically detected in Inertial Explorer™.
  • The EGM2008 geoid is available in WPG format
  • Improved handling of GLONASS RINEX and L2C data conversion
  • Improved support of user/manufacturer files in Windows Vista
  • Added support of RTCM3 raw data format
  • Better Precise Point Positioning (PPP) from improved satellite antenna offset handling

Major Inertial Explorer™ Features

  • Added support for auto-stabilized camera mounts
  • Improved ground trajectory determination from improved optimization of phase, position, and ZUPT (Zero Velocity Update) information as well as input of external heading and coordinate updates
  • RTS attitude smoothing for improved attitude accuracy
  • SPAN-SE event record data format support
  • Support for up to 7 days duration files
  • Lever arm values can be imported from SPAN data files into the processing settings
